Container freight station (CFS, C.F.S.)

A Container Freight Station, also known as CFS or C.F.S., is a facility within the supply chain where cargo is consolidated, deconsolidated, or temporarily stored in containers. It serves as a hub for containerized cargo handling, providing services such as container loading, unloading, sorting, and storage. CFSs are strategically located near ports, rail terminals, or distribution centers to facilitate efficient movement of goods.
