Sinokor Merchant Marine Co., Ltd., a prominent shipping company, has a rich history of contributing to the economic cooperation and normalization of relations between Korea and China. In 1989, three years before the establishment of diplomatic relations between Korea and China, Sinokor inaugurated the first container liner service between the two countries. This pioneering initiative marked a significant milestone in facilitating trade and fostering stronger bilateral relations. Sinokor's registration of the Hong Kong company, "Sinokor Company Ltd.," further enabled nonstop container shipments between Korea and China. The maiden voyage of the vessel "M/V MELISA" marked the beginning of direct transportation between the two countries, which was followed by successful and continuous services with vessels like "M/V MACAU VENTURE" and "M/V MILD SPLENDOR."

Today, Sinokor's container liner services encompass 60 ports across 16 countries, including China, Japan, Russia, Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, the Philippines, Indonesia, India, Myanmar, Cambodia, Bangladesh, Pakistan, the UAE, and Korea. With 34 subsidiary companies and local offices strategically located in these countries, Sinokor provides exceptional customer-oriented service. 

In addition to its container liner services, Sinokor made significant strides by entering the Dry Bulk and Tanker Carriage sectors in 2001.
